There’s just something magical about a City Hall elopement in Manhattan, especially in the winter, when the city feels crisp and alive, and everything glows just a little softer. Weilin and CK brought all the best energy to their NYC elopement day: laid-back, full of laughter, effortlessly chic, and completely in love. After saying “I do” at City Hall (!!!), we hopped over to DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park for golden hour portraits that still make my heart do a little happy dance. This neighborhood is quickly becoming a favorite for a reason. Those skyline views, the cobblestone charm, and that dreamy light? Yes please.
These two live and work here in Manhattan, but they’re originally from Singapore and plan to celebrate with a big party back home later on. How fun is that?! It was such a joy documenting this chapter of their story, and I’d love to work with more couples who value creativity, connection, and keeping things intentional but fun.

A Meaningful Beginning to Their Marriage Story
What made this day even more special was knowing I got to document the very beginning of their marriage. Before the big celebration overseas, before the dance floor moments with all their loved ones. This quiet, intimate elopement in the city they now call home felt like such a meaningful first step. And let’s talk about the weather for a second—we seriously lucked out! It was the middle of winter, but the temps were so mild, which meant we could take our time wandering DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park without freezing (or battling tourist crowds). We had the whole place to ourselves, which made everything feel even more romantic and relaxed. And the sunset? Absolute magic.
We ended their portraits on Pebble Beach as the sky turned cotton-candy pink and orange, and it truly felt like the city was showing off just for them. Also, we need to take a moment for Weilin's dress. She wore a stunning BHLDN gown that looked like it was made just for her. Ugh, obsessed.
